Eligible employees are granted a maximum of 30 days of paid military leave per year (October 1 to September 30) for required military duty. Required military leave is any period of active duty, inactive duty, or full-time National Guard duty, or any other appropriate duty status as determined by Human Resource Management. Your paid military leave hours are calculated based on your regular work day hours indicated in the Human Resources/Payroll System (HR/Pay).
If an employee is absent from work due to military service, benefits will continue as follows:
An employee on extended military leave may elect to continue group health insurance coverage for the employee and covered dependents under the same terms and conditions for a period not to exceed 31 days from the date the military leave of absence begins.
